Before starting some dual credit courses, students may need to take the TSIA 2.0, often called the TSI. The TSI is a college readiness assessment that helps your school understand whether you are ready for college-level classes or if you need a little extra support first.
It may sound intimidating, but it does not have to be. The TSI includes math, reading and writing, and an essay, and our explainer video gives you a clear, student-friendly breakdown of what to expect, how scoring works, and how to prepare.
This video is a great first step if you have heard about the TSI but are not sure what it means. Watch the breakdown, then talk to your counselor about your next step toward dual credit and becoming Future Ready.
Your child’s future is full of possibilities. Whether they want to go straight to a university, start at a community college, join the military, enter the workforce, or explore a career pathway, dual credit can help them take an important step forward while they are still in high school.
For families, that future can also bring real questions about time, money, responsibility, and change. Dual credit can help students save on college costs, graduate sooner, and move toward their goals without having to give up the support and connection they have at home.
Watch the parent support video to see how dual credit can open doors for students and families. Then, talk to your child’s school counselor about the options available and how you can support their next step.
