Andrea Ramirez

Andrea believes strongly in community power to dismantle inequitable systems and in the potential of youth to drive meaningful change. As the Youth Leadership Manager, she works to elevate youth voice by developing and implementing programs that empower young people to become active participants in advocating for equitable youth-focused policies. Andrea has worked for more than eight years in the education advocacy space as a middle school educator, community organizer, policy fellow, and communications manager. She has a bachelor’s degree in youth and community studies from the University of Texas at Austin, and master’s degree in educational leadership and policy from University of Texas at San Antonio. In her free time, Andrea enjoys engaging with the San Antonio community, traveling whenever possible, and discovering new food and coffee shops.
