Kyra Thomas
Kyra believes that the power of advocacy and voicing lived experiences can result in equity among underserved individuals and communities. She is passionate about improving racial representation and the myriad ways in which policy change impacts the local community. As the Data Manager: K-12 & Postsecondary, she provides data-based insights to aid in making best practice decisions. With her position at UP Partnership, she aspires to utilize her research and programming experience to strengthen the initiatives intended to elevate the local communities. She has previously worked in the realm of student development, student support services, STEM programming, and teaching. She continues to uphold and prioritize instilling the notion to not let one’s background define their potential. Kyra holds a BSA in human development and family sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as her master’s degree from Rice University.
